Harlem Grown
Harlem Grown is an independent, non-profit organization whose mission is to inspire youth to lead healthy and ambitious lives through mentorship and hands-on education in urban farming, sustainability, and nutrition. Founded in 2011, they operate local urban farms, increase access to and knowledge of healthy food for Harlem residents, and provide garden-based development programs to Harlem youth.

- Purpose
- Helped Harlem Grown Inc. deliver over a hundred lessons as well as the funding to add weekly after-school lessons. The grant also allowed Harlem Grown, Inc. to set up a hydroponic systems in PS125, allowing more opportunities to engage in STEM lessons, and provided funding to create a farm stand to distribute garden produce. With the help of CCS, Harlem Grown, Inc. impacted the lives of 4,000 students through their youth programming and distributed 6,350 pounds of produce to local Harlem families.
