In light of recent developments related to COVID-19, the CCS Coat and Clothing Drive has ended. Although we want to make sure that we help the neediest of our neighbors, we also need to be careful and consider the safety of others. The Cathedral of St. John the Divine, where Cathedral Community Cares operates, has also taken similar precautions. We want to thank those employees who have donated to the Drive and extend best wishes to our campus community.

Columbia Community Service (CCS) is accepting donations of coats and clothing to assist families in need for the 73rd Annual Appeal Coat & Clothing Drive through April 30th. As you begin your spring cleaning, please consider donating gently used clothing such as coats, shirts, dresses, skirts, pants, socks, belts, hats, bags, shoes and jackets.  Men’s clothing and professional attire is urgently needed. CCS is also requesting travel size toiletries to create hygiene kits for homeless individuals.

Donations can be dropped off Monday-Thursday (10:00am – 4:00pm) at:

This year the Coat and Clothing Drive will benefit the Cathedral Community Cares Clothing Closet at the Cathedral of St. John the Divine, visited by close to 200 individuals every Tuesday and Thursday. Cathedral Community Cares is one of dozens of CCS Grantees making a difference in our community.

You can also make a difference by donating to CCS, helping us reach our goal of raising $300,000 to distribute as grants to community organizations like Cathedral Community Cares. Every donation, big or small, makes a difference.
