CCS Holiday Food Drive

November 18, 2019 - December 20, 2019
12:00 PM
America/New_York
Off-campus
As part of the 73rd Annual Appeal, CCS is hosting its Fall Food Drive to help address the scarcity of food during this holiday season. CCS works with various departments to collect non-perishable and unexpired food items for distribution to CCS grantees that provide meals to those in need. Some suggested items for donation include: canned coffee, sugar, grits, oatmeal, cereal, canned soup, canned vegetables, shelf stable milk, pasta and rice.

Donations Support CCS Grantees:

Broadway Community’s soup kitchen, which is the heart of the programs they provide to those in need of food and produce pantries, medical services, and clothing distribution.

Cathedral Community Cares, an organization that works to combat and alleviate poverty through preventative services, education, and advocacy, while targeting the issues of health and hunger.

NY Common Pantry, an organization that fights hunger and food insecurity through programs like Project Dignity, which establishes long-term independence for its clients. The Program provides homeless clients with a range of concrete services, including onsite showers, laundry, haircuts/shaves, cell phones, and the use of their site as a permanent mailing address.
